Our Youth Programs aim to help youth from TK through 12th grade develop a meaningful sense of purpose in life, find a healthy sense of power, and discover a healing sense of belonging.

UNITED KIDS & TEENS ROYAL FAMILY KIDS

YOUTH PROGRAMS

United Kids & Teens

"United Kids" and "United Teens" are our after-school programs that aim to use fun and play to create spaces for youth to heal and grow.

Offered at 3 different sites around Fullerton, United Kids & Teens uses trauma-informed and healing-centered approaches to help empower youth to create lasting change for themselves, their family, and their community.

United Kids & Teens offers:

Elementary School: TK-6th grade after-school programs at local Fullerton Schools in partnership with the Fullerton School District.
Jr. High: 7th-8th grade after-school programs in partnership with the Fullerton School District at Nicolas Jr High.
High School: 9th-12th grade after-school programs at the Gilbert Community Center, operated by OC United.
THRIVE Academy Jr is a program for 11th-12th graders in our United Teens High School program as a leadership development cohort to gain meaningful life skills and explore next steps after high school.

YOUTH PROGRAMS

Royal Family KIDS

Royal Family is an international initiative from For the Children, operated locally by OC United, that serves children and teens impacted by the foster care system by providing trauma-informed, relationship-based programming designed to promote healing, belonging, and positive childhood experiences.

Royal Family includes both year-round mentoring and an intensive week-long summer camp.

Camp: A weeklong, overnight summer camp for kids in foster care who have experienced abuse or neglect (ages 6 through 12). Campers get to experience "life-changing moments" while building positive relationships in a safe and supportive environment.
Mentoring Program: Campers are invited to join our year-round mentoring program (ages 6 through 12). Every child is paired with a volunteer for one-on-one mentoring in a fun, group setting. This dependable, monthly contact with the same, safe adults helps widen the impact of our camp.
Foster Teen Club: A monthly program for teens (ages 13 through 18) who were part of our Royal Family KIDS programs. Our monthly events provide a fun space to build friendships and stay connected with caring adult mentors during the teenage years.
